💙 International HPV Awareness Day – Protect Yourself, Protect Your Health 💙
Today, Donegal Women’s Centre recognises International HPV Awareness Day, a day to raise awareness about Human Papillomavirus (HPV), prevention, and early detection.
HPV is a very common virus, and while most infections resolve naturally, certain types of HPV can lead to cervical cancer and other cancers if left untreated. Being informed and proactive is key to protecting your health.
How You Can Protect Yourself
Get the HPV vaccine – it protects against the most harmful strains of the virus.
Attend regular cervical screening – early detection can save lives.
Seek information and support – knowing your options helps you make informed decisions about sexual health.
At Donegal Women’s Centre, we provide confidential sexual health support and guidance for women and young people, helping you understand your health, access screening, and make choices that are right for you.
💙 Protect yourself. Protect your future.
