🟣 International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking 🟣

At Donegal Women’s Centre, we join in recognising International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, a United Nations day dedicated to strengthening global action and cooperation to reduce drug-related harm and support healthier, safer communities.

We acknowledge the impact that substance misuse can have on individuals, families, and wider communities. Behind every statistic is a person—often with a complex story shaped by struggle, trauma, resilience, and survival.

This day is also about hope. Recovery is possible, and with the right support, understanding, and connection, people can and do rebuild their lives.

If you or someone you know is affected by substance use, reaching out for support is a strong and positive first step. You do not have to face it alone.

💜 You are not alone.
