🧡 World Kidney Cancer Day 🧡
Today at Donegal Women’s Centre, we join in marking World Kidney Cancer Day, raising awareness of kidney cancer and highlighting the importance of early detection, awareness of symptoms, and seeking medical advice if something doesn’t feel right.
We also take this moment to acknowledge and stand in solidarity with everyone affected by Kidney cancer—including patients, survivors, and families who are navigating diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Your strength and resilience matter deeply.
⚠️ Possible signs and symptoms can include:
- Blood in urine
- Persistent pain in the lower back or side
- Unexplained weight loss
- Ongoing fatigue
- A lump or swelling in the kidney area
While these symptoms can be linked to other, less serious conditions, it is always important to speak with your GP if you are concerned. Early assessment and diagnosis can make a significant difference.
At Donegal Women’s Centre, we are committed to supporting awareness of health conditions that impact women, families, and our wider community, helping to encourage knowledge, early action, and support.
