Donegal Women’s Centre Seeks Innovative Women to Join New Listening Team
Donegal Women’s Centre is inviting a group of innovative, compassionate women to take part in an exciting new initiative, a Dedicated Listening Service for women across Donegal.
The Centre is looking for women who are willing to give their time, commitment, and empathy to form a supportive team that will provide confidential and understanding listening to women in need.
To prepare for this vital role, participants will take part in a comprehensive, skills based training programme, held one evening per week at Donegal Women’s Centre in Letterkenny. The course will run over a number of months and focus on developing in depth listening skills and the ability to offer a compassionate presence to others.
“All women have the power to support and uplift each other,” said Mary Herlihy, Centre Manager at Donegal Women’s Centre. “Through this programme, we hope to build a network of trained listeners who can provide meaningful, empathetic support to women at times when they need it most.”
All applicants will be warmly invited to attend an interview, which will provide an opportunity for a thoughtful conversation about suitability and expectations, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Women interested in becoming part of this transformative project are invited to request an Expression of Interest formby contacting the Centre Manager at: manager@donegalwomenscentre.ie or by post to: Centre Manager, Donegal Women’s Centre, Port Road, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
