International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism 🕯️
Today, Donegal Women’s Centre joins communities across the world in observing the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism — a day dedicated to remembering those whose lives have been forever changed by acts of terrorism and violence.
We take this opportunity to honour the memory of those who lost their lives and to stand in solidarity with survivors, their families, and all those affected by the devastating consequences of terrorism. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a community carrying the impact of loss, grief, and trauma.
This day also recognises the resilience and strength of survivors and the importance of ensuring that their voices are heard. Healing after violence takes time, compassion, support, and a commitment from communities to create spaces where people feel safe, valued, and respected.
At Donegal Women’s Centre, we believe in the importance of compassion, dignity, equality, and building communities where everyone can live free from fear. We remain committed to supporting individuals, promoting wellbeing, and working towards a more peaceful and inclusive society.
On this day of reflection, we remember those who have been lost, we honour those who continue to carry the effects of violence, and we stand together in hope for a safer future.
🕊️ We remember. We honour. We stand together.
