September Is World Suicide Prevention Month
Mothers Need Support Too
Behind every busy day, there may be a mum quietly carrying overwhelming anxiety, loneliness, stress, or emotional exhaustion.
Mothers are often expected to keep going—to care for their children, support their families, manage the home, work, and be there for everyone else.
But the person caring for everyone else may need someone to care for her too.
Sometimes, she may say she’s fine when she isn’t.
So this September, check in with a mum.
Ask how she really is.
Listen without judgement.
Give her time to talk.
Remind her that she doesn’t have to do everything alone.
She deserves support too.
You don’t need to have all the answers. Being present, listening, and letting someone know you care can make a meaningful difference.
The Donegal Women’s Centre is here for you.
We offer:
- Counselling
- Psychotherapy
- Domestic Abuse Support
- A listening ear
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out.
You don’t have to face life alone. Help is here.
