☀️ Summer Isn’t Safe for Everyone ☀️
When we think of summer, we often picture holidays, long evenings, family gatherings, and opportunities to relax and enjoy the sunshine. For many people, it is a season associated with happiness, freedom, and making memories.
However, summer is not a positive experience for everyone.
For some women, the summer months can bring additional challenges and pressures. Changes to daily routines, increased childcare responsibilities, financial strain, social isolation, or spending more time at home can create feelings of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty. For those living in unsafe or abusive relationships, these challenges can become even more difficult to navigate.
At Donegal Women’s Centre, we understand that while summer may appear carefree on the surface, many women are facing struggles that remain unseen.
No one should have to face these difficulties alone.
Whether you are experiencing domestic abuse, feeling isolated, struggling with your mental health, or simply need someone to talk to, support is available. Reaching out can be a difficult first step, but it can also be the beginning of finding the support, information, and guidance you need.
Our team provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where women can access support tailored to their individual circumstances. We are here to listen, to help, and to ensure that every woman who contacts us feels respected, valued, and heard.
This summer, we want every woman to remember:
💜 You deserve to feel safe.
💜 You deserve to be heard.
💜 You deserve support.
If you are finding things difficult, please know that help is available. You do not need to wait for a crisis before seeking support, and you do not need to face challenging situations on your own.
A conversation can make a difference.
If you need support, information, or guidance, please reach out to us.
